United Overseas Bank Gold Medal

The United Overseas Bank Gold Medal is donated by the Overseas Union Bank (renamed as UOB Ltd) since 1999. It is awarded to the most outstanding student for the degree of Master of Science (Strategic Studies). No award will be made unless there is a candidate of sufficient merit.

 
Singapore Technologies Engineering Gold Medal

The Singapore Technologies Engineering Gold Medal is donated by the Singapore Technologies Engineering Ltd since 2002. It is awarded to the most outstanding student for the degree of Master of Science (International Relations). No award will be made unless there is a candidate of sufficient merit.

 
The Lion Group Gold Medal

The Lion Group Gold Medal is donated by The Lion Group since 2004. It is awarded to the most outstanding student for the degree of Master of Science (International Political Economy). No award will be made unless there is a candidate of sufficient merit.

 
The Rajabali Jumabhoy Foundation Gold Medal

The Rajabali Jumabhoy Foundation Gold Medal is donated by the Rajabali Jumabhoy Foundation Ltd in 2008. It is awarded to the most outstanding student for the degree of Master of Science (Asian Studies). No award will be made unless there is a candidate of sufficient merit.

  
Tay Seow Huah Book Prize

This book prize was established in December 2000 by the late Mr Tay Seow Huah’s children, Joanne Tay Siok Wan and Simon S C Tay, and a small group of relatives, friends and former colleagues, including His Excellency President S R Nathan, on the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of Mr Tay’s death. Mr Tay was a senior civil servant who served at various times as Director of the Special Branch, Director of the Security and Intelligence Division, Permanent Secretary (Home Affairs) and Permanent Secretary (Defence), prior to his retirement in 1976. He was awarded the prestigious Meritorious Service Award in 1967, and the Eisenhower Fellowship in 1971. Mr Tay headed the government team dealing with Laju Hijacking in 1974. He died at the age of 47 in September 1980. The book prize is awarded to the graduating M.Sc. student, regardless of program, who has written the best dissertation. No award will be made unless there is a candidate of sufficient merit.
