The University provides research scholarships to candidates with outstanding academic records to enable them to pursue Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) programmes by research on full-time basis.

Applications for the scholarships are opened together with the application for admission. There is no separate application form for the Scholarships.

• NTU Research Scholarship
• Alumni Scholarship

Please note that the application for the Nanyang President's Graduate Scholarships (for Aug 09 intake) will be opened in November 2008 to 31 January 2009.

RSIS also offers a limited number of research scholarships for prospective candidates intending to work in any one of the following areas:

• Terrorism
• Maritime Security
• Civil and Internal Conflict
• Strategic Studies
• International Political Economy
