Web service: the Northern Ireland
conflict (1968 to the present) This
site is the product of a two-year
project organized jointly by
the University of Ulster, Queen's
University, Belfast, and the
Linen Hall Library, Belfast,
to develop a multi media database
of resources relevant to teaching
and research on the Northern
Ireland conflict. Still under
development, the archive is neither
flashy nor especially flamboyant.
It is, however, a first-rate
resource for anyone interested
in "the Troubles" and
in ethnic conflict more generally.
The site includes background
information on the Northern Ireland
conflict and an extensive set
of bibliographic databases and
references. These include an
impressive list of links to resources,
as well as an extensive full-text
bibliography of various governmental
and scholarly publications that
contains more than 2,600 references
to material relevant to the conflict
